Settings Wizard

Settings Wizard allows user to define connection settings and email settings easier than from the connection menu separately
The actual application can be found from Menu > Tools > Sett. wizard

1st time wizard (1/2)

When using application for the first time it configures the operator settings like Internet, WAP, MMS and Streaming access points automatically
If SIM card is not inserted application asks for Operator’s home country and then gives a list of pre-defined operators in the database

1st time wizard (2/2)

After configuring the operator settings wizard goes to email configuration

Depending on variant there can be different options for email configuration, in vanillas Mail for Exchange and native email is available, variant team configures other clients depending on the variant

Email configuration

When selecting Mail for Exchange configuration Settings Wizard asks all the necessary credentials, installs and configures the client

Mail for Exchange

Highlight Mail for Exch. and press Select
Press OK
Insert domain e.g. domain.company.com and press OK
Insert server name and press OK
Insert user name and password and press OK
After inserting necessary information, client will be installed and wizard completed

Native email configuration

When selecting Messag. email configuration Settings Wizard starts to setup native email mailbox
1. Highlight Messag. e-mail and press Select
2. Press OK
3. Insert email address and press OK
4. Insert user name and password and press OK
5. Insert mailbox name which will be shown in the messaging and press OK
6. After inserting necessary information, mailbox is setup and ready to be used
In case email domain name is not in the database email needs to be configured manually
1. Insert email address and press OK
2. Nokia.com is not found from the database. Inserted address can be rechecked (Yes) or configuration can be continued (No)
3. Select correct mailbox type and press OK
4. Insert Incoming mail server and press OK
5. Insert Outgoing mail server, in some cases Settings wizard may suggest Operators outgoing mail server. Then press OK
6. Finally, insert Mailbox name and press OK to define Mailbox. After this everything is setup and ready to be used
After using Settings wizard for the first time it can be started again and used for connection and email settings configuration
